This introduction workshop offers a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in or involved in church ministry or outreach to understand and explore the need for intentional inclusion of those with disabilities and their families to start with equipping themselves in understanding some of the challenges faced in accessing spiritual spaces and to explore an understanding of disabilities and language that will facilitate you in building connection and understanding with those you minister to in a meaningful way.

Some of the topics covered include:

• Understanding the need for Disability focus
• Exploring Myths and False teachings
• The role of Human rights
• Definitions and terminology relating to disability
• Barriers preventing the church from connecting with the disabled population
